Obesity is a huge problem in the United States and around the world. Based on the data, around 60% of Americans are obese and around 80% are overweight! That is a lot of people. What happened that obesity became such a huge problem? Well, lots of things happened. The quality of food is pretty much horrible in the United States. Most of the products that you purchase from the grocery store is very bad for you. Many of which are toxins to your body. No wonder why losing weight can be so difficult if not impossible for most of the people. It is the quality of food that is at fault for which we should feel responsible for.
Lets take a look at the most basic thing: water. Just by looking at the typical American you will see that he or she does not drink plain water. He or she is drinking nothing else but calories! Lots of them. Soft drinks, fruit juices, iced teas, coffee-like drinks, and many more are just a few examples of poison bomb to our body. What else do they have in common besides lots of calories? Whoever said sugar was right. Sugar and lots of it. Typical cane of Coke has 39g of sugar. That is a lot of sugar right there.
Our body has limited capability to process sugar. Excess of sugar leads to live dysfunction and when that happens one of the things that happen to the sugar that you drink is that it turns into body fat. That fat is stored in our body. The more sugar, the more fat. Plain and simple. Unfortunately, that is not only bad thing that sugar does. Sugar is pretty much equivalent of poison that kills you slowly. Whoever cares a little bit about his or her health, I recommend to discount all of the soft drinks and any drinks or food with lots of sugar. Just drink water people. You really don’t need anything else.
Since cane of coke is cheaper than bottle of water, people buy it instead. But you have to ask yourself how much is your health worth? Is it more than a few cents per day? I hope so.
Another important point to make is that quality of food is absolutely terrible. I get sick when I see a typical American family eating processed food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The worst thing is that most of the people are unaware of how bad this type of food is for them and their children. Most of the processed products include ingredients such as: sugar, salt, fructose corn syrop, trans fat, and many more. All of which are like hidden poison that destroys your body slowly and consistently.
If you care about your health try to eat food that is as close to nature as possible. Don’t fall for processed junk that gives you only few minutes of satisfaction after which it makes your health worst. Eat for long term, not short term.
