Kahler Grand Hotel, Wellness Hotel in Rochester Minnesota

The Kahler Grand Hotel boasts the ability to cater to budgets from modest to extravagant. Additionally, several styles are available from living like royalty in a luxury suites to economy rooms starting at $79 per night. However, even the economy accommodations offer the same features and amenities as the upscale rooms.

What makes the Kahler Grand Hotel a wellness hotel?

The hotel is directly linked with the Mayo Clinic located just miles away. Besides offering guests a place to stay while visiting the Mayo Clinic, this hotel offers such options as a fitness center and the Healing Touch Health Spa.

We are not totally sure that just offering a fitness center and health spa make this a total wellness hotel. But due to its proximity and affiliation with the Mayo Clinic says much about their ability to provide wellness services.

Other great features about the Kahler Grand Hotel is its proximity to fabulous shopping and historical Rochester landmarks. Situated just across a climate-controlled skyway and subway specifically for pedestrians is The Grand Shops at Kahler/Marriott where guests can find over 60 stores, boutiques, and restaurants. 30,000 sq. feet of event space also makes the hotel an ideal place for meetings of almost any size.

In addition to the shopping and facilities, the hotel boasts outstanding service and complimentary shuttle service to area travel destinations including a business center offering services 24-hours a day. The staff is available for arranging medical services as well as leisure activities; including those offered through the Executive Health Program at the nearby Mayo Clinic.

One of the most valuable services from what we can tell would be taking advantage of the Executive Health Program offered through the Mayo Clinic. The program, which is a comprehensive physical as well as diagnostic examination, is perfect for business professionals while traveling.

Additional services include: Prescription Delivery by their Medical Concierge Service and escorts to at least the first of your Mayo Clinic appointments, hair and beauty services, newsstand, shoe shine service, courtesy transportation to Mayo, local theatre, and shopping.

The Kahler Grand Hotel received 3 out of 5 stars on TripAdvisor with 58% giving it a thumbs down review. Like most TripAdvisor reviews, the opinions were mixed. The most common complaint was “old” and “needs a facelift.” So the reoccurring theme there seems to be… well, outdated. Overall, the reviews did recommend it as the best place to stay while visiting the Mayo Clinic.
